I'm a Teaching Assistant Professor. I received my PhD in Operations Research from North Carolina State University in 2017. I have taught college courses in Statistics, Deterministic Modeling, Calculus, and Pre-Calculus. While pursuing my graduate degree I also worked in industry for six years as a data scientist, applying statistical and mathematical algorithms to applications in online advertisting, TV advertising, and narcotics detection. I'm currently conducting pedagogical research, focusing on introductory data science courses teaching methods. I also like hiking, snowboarding, and yoga.

I'm a first year PhD student in statistics. I completed my undergraduate study in mathematics at Shandong University, and got my master's degree in statistics from University of Chicago earlier this year. My previous research focuses on statistical genetics and high dimensional data. Outside of class, I enjoy watching movies and traveling.

I'm Saumya Agrawal and I'm a junior in Computer Science and Statistics. I'm from India and this is my second year being a CA for this class. I want to pursue a career in data science and this class is a great introduction to people interested in the field.

I am a senior majoring in Mathematics and Statistics. Probability is one of my favorites and in my previous research of Interactive Visualization with Mathematica, I studied Von Neumann Poker Model and analyzed BlackJack. I also enjoy applying quantitative methods to the financial area and once interned in a commercial bank and a financial technology company. I like tennis and I am a huge fan of Harry Potter.

I am a freshman majoring in Mathematics. I had a good time during my STAT 207 class exploring the field of data science, which is inspiring me to double major in Statistics. I hope that I can use the knowledge that I accrued to help other students succeed. Outside of school in my free time, I usually listen to music and hang out with my friends.
